When you exhalt someone you are thanking them for either help or being nice. Also if you feel like a post that they did was very descriptive and well-written you may exhalt them. It's all a matter of opinion. Smiting is used when someone does something cruel in the OOC world, like if they are bullying you, etc. But if this does happen I will happily help you out with it, just let me know.
